According to the class calendar - posted at http://j24class.org/usa/calendar/index.htm the dates for 2010 are February 6-10. The St. Petersburg NOOD regatta is February 11-14. If the dates are correct, you can do Mid-winters, then deliver to St. Pete and do the NOOD. One weeks vacation for two regattas. Two years ago, Davis Island YC did a delivery race after Mid-winters to St. Pete and it was a hoot! Le Mans style start at the bar and a day sail to St. Pete. Ask Jesus Lizard about their special J/24 chute!

Those are the correct dates and it will be at DIYC once again. We are going to run the race to the bar again as well.

Big Time thank yous to Kat and Brian Malone and the Davis Island YC for hosting a great, fun regatta. Props to Charlie Enright for winning the regatta and once again proving that consistency is what counts. Never won a race and still won the regatta. Great fun talking to class members and lots of interesting discussions. No fault of Kat and Brian but it was COLD! Thank god for the crawfish boil and whoever it was that taught me, " if the crawfish tail is straight, that means it died early and is rotten. Only the curled up ones are safe to eat. Don't eat those or you'll get the runs!"
Thanks again Kat and Brian. I hope you got your foulies clean after the puppy "accident."
