The Hamburger Segel Club in Germany hosted 42 boats with 186 participants for the Father Frost Regatta. The HSC RC team did an excellent job in the challenging lake winds to run seven exciting races in three classes. Despite the foggy November weather, sailors were able to start fantastic races and experience the beautiful Alster Lake to the fullest with light winds. The always competitive J/24 fleet was won by Till Pomarius’ team of Thorsten Paech, Jannik Duehren, Moritz Book and Jonas Lyssewski; their record of 2-5-2-1-11-4-1 was good for 15 points net. Taking the silver was Manfred Konig’s team of Tina Luelfing, Nils Glockow, Malte Gibbe and Stephan Kessenich with a 2-5-2-1-11-4-1 tally of 15 points net. Rounding out the podium was Lynn Wolgast’s crew of Erik Gente, Malena Phillippi, Lynn Thorns and Lena Harder with a steady tally of 5-2-42-4-3-7 for 20 points net.
